General counselling. I am a highly experienced and accredited counsellor trained to post graduate level offering therapy to individuals and couples. I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing emotional distress and need a safe place to express this and explore solutions. I have practised for 18 years with12 years’ prior experience as an Occupational Therapist in mental health in both the NHS and the private sector, including head of department at The Priory Hospital, London. My approach is integrative, meaning that I am trained and skilled in a number of different psychological modalities e.g. mindfulness and am able to incorporate these into my therapeutic work according to need. I offer short (six sessions) and longer term therapy. I use a confidential consulting room at the Apthorp Centre in Bath where there is free parking or see clients where I live on the North side of Bath.
